What is CrocoParc?
CrocoParc is a zoological park located in Agadir, dedicated primarily to crocodiles but also home to a variety of reptiles and other species. The park features over 300 Nile crocodiles and many Moroccan crocodiles, alongside giant tortoises, iguanas, pythons, anacondas, and marmosets. It is situated in the Drarga region, about 6 miles (10 km) from the center of Agadir.
A Visit Rich in Emotions
The Entrance
Upon arrival, visitors are welcomed by an impressive entrance: a giant crocodile mouth through which you must pass to reach the reception area. The area is designed to evoke a jungle atmosphere, immersing you in the CrocoParc experience from the start.
The Circuit
CrocoParc offers both self-guided and guided tours (available in multiple languages). The park features a well-marked circuit of over 660 yards (600 meters), allowing visitors to closely observe the reptiles in their natural behaviors—whether basking in the sun or eating their daily meals (which occur five times daily in the summer). The circuit is lined with informational panels, not just about the crocodiles, but also about the various plant species inhabiting the park.
Rest areas along the circuit provide shady spots to relax and take in the beauty of exotic plants.
The Gardens
The park is home to over 300 species of exotic plants from around the world, representing Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia, and the Americas. As you walk through the park’s gardens, you embark on a journey through the flora of five continents.
The Cactus Garden
Midway through the circuit, you will encounter the Cactus Garden, where you can admire various species of cactus. The area is also home to green iguanas and giant tortoises, adding to the allure. For those looking for a higher vantage point, a suspended course offers panoramic views of the landscape.
Get Closer to Crocodiles
One of the highlights of CrocoParc is the opportunity to get up close to the crocodiles. There are two places where visitors can experience this:
The First Viewing Area: At the start of the circuit, visitors can view crocodiles eating their meals through a reinforced glass wall.
The “Monster Cave”: Near the end of the circuit, you can enter a specially designed glass structure, allowing you to observe crocodiles from a safe distance while being surrounded by them.
The Laboratory and the Nursery
The Laboratory and the NurseryCrocoParc is also home to Morocco’s first crocodile conservation center, which is open to the public. In the laboratory, you can observe baby crocodiles and learn about the evolutionary process of these fascinating creatures.
Children’s Activities
The park offers a variety of child-friendly activities, ensuring that younger visitors have a great time. Children can explore playgrounds made from local wood, designed according to international safety standards. The park also hosts workshops such as face painting, origami, coloring, and pottery, all guided by the CrocoParc animation team. For budding paleontologists, there is a designated area where children can search for fossils in the sand.
Drinks and Sweeties
Throughout your visit, you’ll come across the Treasure Cave, a charming shop offering refreshing drinks, snacks, ice cream, and sweets—perfect for refueling during your adventure.
Amphitheater
In the Amphitheater, you can attend educational presentations and watch documentaries about crocodiles. The space is also used for storytelling sessions, where guides recount fascinating legends surrounding crocodiles.
The Restaurant: La Table Du Croco
At the end of your visit, make sure to stop by La Table Du Croco, the park’s restaurant. Here, you can enjoy a meal, drink coffee, or have a refreshing drink while overlooking the crocodile pools from the restaurant’s large terrace. It’s the perfect spot to relax and reflect on your visit.
The Exit
Before leaving, be sure to visit the park’s gift shop, designed like a jungle. Here, you can purchase a variety of souvenirs, including T-shirts, mugs, toys, and other keepsakes to remember your CrocoParc experience.

Access & Location
CrocoParc is located in Drarga, just outside of Agadir, along National Highway 8 (Agadir-Marrakesh). The park is easily accessible by car, and public transport options are available:
Bus: ALSA bus lines 5 and 9 go to Drarga.
Shuttle Bus: CrocoParc operates a shuttle bus from Uniprix Agadir, departing at 9:45 am and 2:45 pm.
Opening Hours
Regular Hours: Open 7 days a week, from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
During Ramadan: Open from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm.
The park is closed on Aid El Kebir (Eid al-Adha) and the first day of the holiday, and it opens from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on the second day.
